LittleStep is a private baby journal for families. We designed it to keep your family's photos and records private. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used.
The content you create — photos, videos, comments, reactions, growth records, feeding logs, and solid-food records — is stored in Apple iCloud (CloudKit) under your own iCloud account. It is visible only to the family members you explicitly invite to a baby's family circle. We do not run our own servers that store this content, and we cannot read it.
One exception: to show family visit statistics, the app stores a minimal visit counter — your in-app nickname, visit count, and last visit time, never photos or content — in the app's shared CloudKit database rather than your personal iCloud storage.
LittleStep identifies you through your device's iCloud account. Due to Apple's privacy rules, the app cannot see your Apple ID email or name. The nickname and avatar shown in the app are set by you within the app.
For non-subscribers, LittleStep shows banner ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and similar data to serve and measure ads. On first launch we ask for your permission (App Tracking Transparency); you can decline, and you can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. We request only general-audience (G-rated) ad content. See Google's policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
You can purchase an auto-renewing subscription to remove all ads. Payments are handled by Apple; we do not receive your payment details. You can manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
LittleStep is intended for parents and family members (adults). It is not directed to children under 13, and ads are configured as non-child-directed, general-audience.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
