Frequently asked questions

How do I invite family?

Go to Settings → Family → “Invite Family”. Share the iCloud link (Messages, AirDrop, etc.). Family members open the link on their iPhone while signed in to iCloud to join. As the owner you can set each member to view-only or edit, or remove them under “Manage Permissions”.

Why can't I see content / why does it say “no permission”?

Make sure you're signed in to iCloud (Settings → iCloud shows the account). The person who created the baby owns the data; others need to accept the invite link first.

How do I remove ads?

Settings → Membership → “Ad-Free Membership”. It's an auto-renewing subscription; manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Use “Restore Purchases” if you reinstall.

Why isn't my iCloud photo used as my avatar?

Apple does not allow apps to read your Apple ID photo or name. You can set your own avatar in Settings.

Can I have a different nickname per baby?

Yes. Your nickname is set per baby in Settings, so you can appear as “Mom” in one family circle and “Auntie” in another.

How do I delete data?

Delete a baby in Settings to permanently remove its photos, records, and family sharing. This cannot be undone.

Dark mode & language?

Tap the moon/sun icon on the Timeline, or Settings → Appearance (System / Light / Dark). Language follows your system, or set it in Settings → Language (restart to apply). English and Simplified Chinese are supported.
